Where does the time go?

We are already celebrating Claire's first Christmas! It is amazing how much has changed in the short time since I last posted.

She is crawling all over and pulling herself up to standing position. She actually got her first black eye today by pulling herself up holding a toy and it toppled over her - twice. She cut her eyelid and got bumped pretty bad. I'm sure you'll see it in all of our Christmas Day pics.

Dinner time has turned into quite the event. Claire is wanting to feed herself and screams if I don't put food on her tray - too bad is what I say! I have started to trick her by putting little pieces on her tray and when she puts food in her mouth I sneak a spoon full in, too! It is working out pretty well. We can't believe how independent she is already. THe seperation anxiety is calming down a little. She even seemed a little cuddly today but that could be because she got bashed in the head a few time by her toys! Her sleeping patterns are pretty regular now - 7:30pm-6 am-ish. She is an early riser like her mom (but makes the funny faces just like her dad). She hasn't any teeth, yet, but I really wish something would show soon! She is chewing on everything and has some pretty moody episodes (you're probably thinking just like her mom).

The animals and Claire get along fairly well but the Dr. feels she is developing allergies to them. We are going to get allergy testing at her 9 month apt. Scooter has become a great friend to her and he is a great sport to her tugging and screaming. He just lays there (most of the time).

We are staying home for Christmas and starting our own traditions. Tonight we opened our Christmas PJ's and had some yummy lasagna (frozen :) - I need to learn hown to make it!. RIch's mom and brother, Dan, and coming over tomorrow.

Merry Christmas and I'll be posting pictures soon!

Poor thing with a black eye on her first Christmas! I hope she doesn't get teeth before Addie, my girl is already getting a complex about it!
