Claire is 6 months old!

People always say kids grow up so fast but you don't really understand that until you have one of your own. Claire turned 6 months old yesterday! She is now sleeping all through the night most of the time which has helped me to not be so tired. I no longer have an excuse not to exercise! We've had to buy some bigger clothes for her and we're not too sure how much longer she'll be fitting in her infant seat for!

At her 6 month apt today she got all of her vaccines and Dr. Sarah says her ear infection is starting to clear up. She does have some fluid in her left ear which means she is at a higher risk for future ear infections. The dr said that 6 infections in 1 year would mean tubes - lets cross our fingers that we won't need those! She weighs 16 lbs 15.5 oz (75%), is 26 7/8 inches long (90%), and her head is 43.2 cm (50%). We go back in 1 month for the 2nd round of the flu shot.

The dr advised that we need to finish our baby proofing of the house! Claire is almost crawling. She was waiving to Dr. Sarah (which was the first I've seen!) and is now holding her hands up to indicate she wants to be picked up. She is starting to babble Dadadada and is wrestling with her stuffed animals. She has eaten most of the fruits and veggies that are ok at this age (I am making all of her baby foods). Her favorites seem to be peas and any fruits.

As we are entering the first "holiday" season for Claire I am realizing time is just going to start going by even faster.
